Merry Christmas!

HI All,
Where has the year gone? After a record wet summer and apparently what is set to be a record cold winter, we wonder why we do this horse business!! Frozen/flooded arenas are already beginnning to plague us, however only a couple of months to go and we will be in the clear.
Winter qualification has finished and Summer qualification started at the beginning of the month. I haven’t qualified anything for the Winter’s this year but have great plans for the Summers. I have a couple of clients qualified for the Winter Regionals in February so training must go on to guarantee qualification for the prestigios Winter Finals. Good luck guys!
Woody is going well, I managed 13 one time changes on one diagonal! Grand Prix here we come, only the extremely difficult canter zig zag and piaffe/passage tour to master now! I have my goals for 2013: serious training with Woody, and buy myself a young horse to contest the young horse classes, with then a view to sell on at the end of the year. My base in Alveley is wintering very well due to Jayne, the owner being very diligent with her grazing regime. We are both looking forward to hopefully a busy yard in the Summer with horses coming in and out for schooling or holidays!
I have a few clients who have made purchases of some very exciting young horses this year. So watch this space for 2013 young horse classes. We have some great youngster in this country now and I look forawrd to seeing their careers progress.
I train a few Pony Clubs around the area, training has slowed down for the Christmas period, but the Wheatland had a successful year especially in the dressage Chamiponships at Moreton Morrell. Some new combinations of horse and rider which I’m looking forawrd to seeing progress next year.
I bid you all a very Merry Christmas and look forward to catching up again in the New Year!
